Delta Emulator is one of the more popular games emulators available outside of Cydia. Games emulators are developed with special tools that allow us to play games on our devices that are designed only for games consoles. The emulator app provides those tools so we can play the games that were from the Gameboy and Nintendo platforms and, overall, most people who use the emulator are very happy with it indeed.
Fix Delta Emulator Not Working :
Most people who have downloaded the emulator have found it smooth going but some have found that, once they installed it, they can’t get it to work and the most common error message received is one that says the app is not trusted and won’t work. This is an issue with the app certificate and it is very easy to solve; you just need to tell Apple that the certificate is from a trusted source and this is how you do it:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Going through General, tap on Profile and Device Management
- You will now see a list of profiles for all the apps on your device; find and tap the profile for the emulator app
- Tap the button that says Trust and then close Settings
- Try using the emulator again and it will work correctly
These kinds of errors tend to arise when we try to install apps that don’t come from the official app store. Apple is strict on what it lets in and apps that allow this kind of functionality don’t make the grade as far as they are concerned. However, you mustn’t assume that, because it isn’t an official app store app that it isn’t safe to use. Riley Testut ( twitter ), developer of Delta Emulator has put his app through some incredibly stringent tests and, as it is his long reputation on the line, he isn’t going to provide anything that is not secure or safe.
Delta Emulator is a great emulator app, the only way to play those console games on the iPhone or iPad without Cydia. And because it doesn’t work the same way as Cydia, i.e. it doesn’t need root user access to the iOS to work, it is safe, irrespective of the device you are using and the iOS version you are currently running. It is free to use so do give it a go and tell us how you find it. For more emulator and Cydia updates, you can follow us on Facebook.
